Dipropylene glycol methyl ether acetate (DPMA) is a material contains polar groups and non polar group , has good ability of dissolving and coupling, commonly used in solvent based coatings and screen printing ink.Using dipropylene glycol methyl ether and acetic acid as raw material, under the catalysis of solid acid, via esterification reaction to generated crude product and its high purity DPMA after distillation .Using single factor method and orthogonal test method to study the effects of catalyst types and dosage, reaction temperature, reaction time, material ratio and other factors on propylene glycol methyl ether acetate yield and finally determine the suitable process conditions . At the same time, the structure of the compound was identified by means of FT-IR, NMR and GC-MS.
